Board of Directors (Office Bearers and Directors 2026/27)
My Career: I am currently the Underwriting Governance Manager at icare with a focus on Insurance Risk Management and Transformation Risk across several key transformation projects at icare.I started my career at a “Big 8” accounting firm in the audit and insolvency divisions. I moved into banking and finance with the NAB holding various senior management positions in Business Banking, Credit Risk and Operational Risk. Following NAB I joined QBE LMI as Head of Credit managing the credit risk of a significant mortgage insured portfolio of loans across major bank and non-bank lenders, including through the GFC.I am a Chartered Accountant and hold an Executive MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management.
Why the Board: Having been a member since 2006, I decided to “give back” to the club by standing for the Board. The experience gained throughout my career is applicable to the challenges of running a successful business and I look forward to contributing to the future development of the club for the benefit of all members.
Why I love golf: The challenge of a game you can play for life. I started following my dad around the golf course with my 1 club and I was hooked. Since then, I have enjoyed many rounds with family and friends and now have the joy of playing with Tobi, my son. The people you meet, the fresh air, the good shots and bad, all make golf the great, and sometimes frustrating, game we love.
Why the Board: Throughout my life, I have been a perennial volunteer, looking for opportunities to support organisations that I am involved with at a personal or professional level. As I am in full-time work, offering my skills and experience to RGC is an opportunity for me to support the Club and its community. I believe my corporate and NFP experience and legal skills will add to the diverse skillset of the Board in a positive way, and I am genuinely delighted and feel privileged to be elected to represent the members of RGC.
Why I love golf: I thrive on the challenge to improve and love that players of any level can compete with each other. The thing I love most is that no matter what type of round you have, there is always friendship and laughter on the terrace and that one great shot of the day to share which will no doubt bring you back for another round.
My Career: I am a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (FCA) and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD). My career started in the UK as an auditor with Coopers & Lybrand, before moving into insurance in 2001 when I joined Aviva Group. In 2003 I made the move to Australia and joined Insurance Australia Group where I have spent the last 22 years, primarily in reinsurance. I am married with two sons and a daughter and love nothing more than watching them at their weekend sport.
Why the Board: I became a member of Roseville Golf Club in 2016 and have been struck by what a friendly and progressive club we are. I joined the Finance, Risk and Compliance Committee in 2021, and had the privilege to become the Club’s Treasurer in 2022. In my role I will use my years of experience in the finance industry, to enable the Board to make strong financial decisions and manage the risks that we face. This will ensure the Club remains sustainable, whilst also investing in future development to meet our Strategic plan.
Why I love golf: I love golf because you get to combine fresh air, exercise, and good company. I find golf to be a great test of skill and patience and no two rounds are the same.
My Career: I was a NSW police officer for 40 years, retiring in 2012 as the Assistant Commissioner Professional Standards. In 2013 I was appointed to the Australian Sports Anti-Drug Agency (ASADA), Anti-Doping Rule Violation Panel (ADRVP) for 7 years.
Why the Board: Roseville GC is essentially a small business that for nearly 100 years has relied heavily on members volunteering for various duties to help the Club. I’m happy to work on the Board and as Captain, so that the Club can continue to provide a great golfing experience.
Why I love golf: I love golf for the challenge, the strategy involved on each hole. That terrific feeling when you strike a pure shot, chip close or sink a clutch putt. I enjoy the company of others when more often than not the chat is simply about golf.
My Career: After a wonderful life of travelling and schooling in many corners of the world, I arrived in Australia in 1978. My career has seen me work in Children’s Educational services, in Australia, Asia and the Middle East, for over 40 years. I specialise in Early Childhood Education and Disability services. Having stepped away from full-time employment in 2026, I have taken up supervising university education students on a part-time basis. This allows me to continue to use my experience and knowledge in supporting the next generation of teachers and continuing to advocate for families and children, through focusing on making early childhood education accessible for all children. A focus on integration of children with additional needs and diverse backgrounds into mainstream services has been an important part of my work and I value cultural and individual influences that enrich the early learning environment and children’s lives into the future. I provide quality leadership, knowledge and an ethical approach to my work with a lens on equity, sustainability and inclusion of contemporary practices. I hold a Teaching Degree (Early Childhood) and a Master of Special Education and have held senior leadership and Board positions, predominantly in the Not for Profit sector.
Why the Board: I joined the golf club in 2017 and have always felt the club to be welcoming and inclusive of all. As the Women’s Captain, it will be a privilege to represent all the members, and particularly the women golfers, at the club. I look forward to working with the Board to sustain the good works that have come before. I will use my career experience in leadership and Board roles to sustain and wonderful environment at the golf club.
Why I love golf: When I was first introduced to golf, through my husband, I never believed I would enjoy it as much as I do – truly a golf tragic and I look forward to playing much more when I move away from work later in the year. What a way to challenge your skills both mentally and physically, be out in the fresh air, rain or shine, and take the opportunity to play with friends, meet new fellow golfers and enjoy the beautiful course.
My Career: Trained as a Registered Nurse at Hornsby Hospital - the last class of hospital-trained nurses. Registered in both NSW and QLD, now retired. Worked at St Vincents Private Hospital, Longueville Private Hospital, Agency nursing and The Mater Hospital in Townsville, later working for home nursing organisations. Volunteer for schools, sporting clubs and community, including Meals on Wheels.
Why the Board: I love this club! Roseville has been nothing but welcoming since joining in 2020. My father (Ken Reynolds - dec) joined in 1961, my mother (Shirley Reynolds) is still playing here at 93 and my brother (Gav Reynolds) works as a Greenkeeper. I want to help, any way I can, to continue the excellent work established by the current board.
Why I love Golf: What is not to love? It is a game that requires both physical and mental fortitude. I love playing an individual game within a team game and can and do play in all weather with all people. Golf brings me a lot of joy.
My Career: A lifetime insurance person. Trained as an actuary and spent 40 years in superannuation, life and general reinsurance, and direct general insurance. I have been both an actuary advising the insurance business and a product manager actually writing the insurance business. I have also spent time training future actuaries through the professional body.
Why the Board: My corporate career has given me financial and business skills of working with diverse groups to reach common goals. The Board gives me the opportunity to use these skills to help guide Roseville Golf Club into the future.
Why I love golf: I like being outdoors and doing things that I find difficult. With my limited ball skills, I find golf gives me something which I can keep working at and improving and yet will never be terribly good at! It is of course also a lovely walk in very pleasant surroundings with nice people to keep you company. It is never boring!
My Career: I am a sessional academic at UNSW, teaching journalism and communications. I have worked as a journalist for 40 years - including a stint as New York Correspondent for Fairfax and on magazines with the ABC and Universal magazines and the Australian Institute of Company Directors. I have also managed communications for the not-for-profit Australian Business and Community Network, which connects business mentors with students from disadvantaged areas. I love storytelling and for 15 years I have combined journalistic work with teaching journalism at UTS and UNSW. I love giving back in this way and learn a lot from my students as well.
Why the Board: Having completed the women's clinic at Roseville at 2019, I have been decreasing my work commitments and increasing my golf days. I would like to contribute to the club I love.
Why I love golf: I have met some terrific people through golf and learned a lot from them - not just about golf, but about life in general. Many in my family are keen golfers and, as a child, I used to walk around with my parents as they played golf on the Gold Coast and Newcastle. I now enjoy the exercise, the challenge and the friendships that golf allows.
Why the Board: Being part of the Board is an opportunity to contribute to the ongoing stewardship of a club that I value both as a member and as part of the broader community. I am interested in supporting thoughtful, well-informed decision making that balances tradition with future sustainability. I see the role of the Board as representing members, ensuring strong governance and setting a clear strategic direction while respecting the role of management. I am particularly motivated by the opportunity to contribute to a positive and inclusive member experience and to help ensure the Club continues to thrive for current and future generations.
Why I love golf: Golf continues to challenge and reward me in equal measure. It is a game that reflects who you are in the moment, requiring focus, patience, resilience and the ability to reset after every shot. I love the combination of personal challenge, time in nature and connection with others. Some of my most enjoyable experiences have come from shared rounds, friendly competition and the camaraderie that naturally develops through the game. Golf also mirrors much of the work I do professionally, inviting reflection, awareness and growth, which is why it remains such an important and enjoyable part of my life.
