Etiquette on the Course
- Arrive at the Pro Shop at least 30 minutes before your tee time
- Be at your 1st tee ready to hit off at least 5 minutes before your time
- Leave the tee as soon as the last player in your group has hit
- Walk briskly to your ball
- Hit as soon as it is safe to do so
- Stay in touch with the group ahead
- Leave your bag ready for the next tee when you reach the green
- Call up only when you feel it is safe and you have not lost touch with the group ahead. (It is not imperative at Roseville to call up, it is a courtesy and entirely a matter for the players themselves)
- On the green think about your line of putt while awaiting your turn
- Do not practise chipping or putting after completing a hole
- The first two of your group should putt out and proceed to the next tee if you have lost ground to the group ahead
- Mark your card on the next tee while others are hitting off
- Ignore who has the honour (except in Match play) and play when ready
- Repair extra divot holes, pitch marks etc.
- Return the rake to flat part of the bunker after raking it, with the handle aligned to the direction of play. Enter and exit the bunker at blue lines
- Refrain from talk or movement which could distract players nearby who are about to play a shot
- Carry a rule book at all times. Observe the rules of golf
- Following these guidelines will speed up play and make your day more enjoyable
