Pace of Play Tips
- The lowest marker has responsibility for the conduct of his or her group
- Walk briskly between shots
- Be ready to play when it is your turn
- Concentrate on the state of the game and know whose honour or whose next shot it is
- Let following players through if searching for a lost ball or fall one clear hole behind the group in front
- Pick up ball when out of shots on hole
- Play a provisional ball immediately if in doubt as to whether or not your ball is lost
- Watch flight of ball closely and mark spot with identifiable object on course
- On the green, the player closest to the pin should first attend the flag
- Do not stand on the green counting how many shots you’ve had after everyone has played out
- Do not mark scorecard until you’re off the green and awaiting your turn to tee off
- Do not leave your buggy at the entrance to the green, place it near the exit to the next tee
- Do not look for lost balls of other players
- Do not attempt to play on after having called up the next group
