Golf Operations Manager - Ben Stringer  PGA Member

Ben started playing golf at Oatlands Golf Club as a junior member and after progressing through the junior ranks decided to pursue a career in golf, completing his three year Traineeship at Pennant Hills Golf Club.  Throughout his career he has gained extensive experience in a variety of job situations including:  Head Professional, Casula Powerhouse Golf Club;  Assistant Professional, Cromer Golf Club;  Assistant Professional and acting Director of Golf, Manly Golf Club;  Golf Administration/Teaching Professional, Castle Hill Country Club and recently, Assistant General Manager, Roseville Golf Club.  Ben is an AAA rated Golf Professional and a member of the Australian PGA having achieved the requirements of the PGA Personal Development Programme, including the specialised areas of Golf Operations and Coaching over consecutive four year cycles.

Teaching Professional - Sally Stringer ALPG Member

Sally completed a Bachelor of Education (Physical Education) at the University of Technology and during that time took up golf.  At the completion of her degree she decided to become a professional golfer and was one of the first females to be a PGA qualified Golf Professional and member of the Australian PGA, completing her three year traineeship at Killara Golf Club.  Sally is also a member of the Australian Ladies Professional Golfers Tour and competed regularly prior to family commitments, including a stint in America playing on the Futures Tour.  Since then she has worked for Women’s Golf New South Wales as State Development Officer fostering both junior and senior women golfers across the State.  She has continued to develop both male and female golfers from beginners to elite level through her private coaching at Macquarie University Driving Range. Sally is avilable for lessons on Monday & Wednesday at Roseville Golf Club.

Teaching Professional - Peter Headland PGA Member - NEW

Peter began his golfing career at Balgowlah & Monash Golf Clubs at the age of 14.  As an amateur golfer he won many Club Championships at both clubs and won the NSW Medal, Australian Medal and the Champion of Champions.  A highlight was his defeat of Greg Norman in an interstate match in Tasmania just before they both turned Professional. During his playing career he won 62 titles on both the Australian and overseas tours.  Since 1981 he has concentrated on teaching working with high profile golf coaches such as David Leadbetter (Golf Digest 2009 caoch ranking 3rd in USA), Mac O'Grady (Golf Digest 2009 coach ranking 26th in USA) & Ben Doyle.  Peter can help golfers of any standard from beginners and high handicappers through to low markers. He has worked with professionals such as Nick Faldo, Wayne Grady, Ian Baker-Finch, Peter Senior, Noel Ratcliffe & Roger Davis.  Peter is available for lessons on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday at Roseville Golf Club.

Trainee Professional - Paul Skinner PGA Member

Paul began playing golf at Ashlar and Windsor golf clubs as a junior in 1987 and represented both clubs in Eric Apperley and Junior Pennants.  Paul has a solid background in financial services, having been a finance consultant with strong customer liaison focus.  After becoming Club Champion in 2000 and captaining Major Pennants for Glenmore CC, in 2003 Paul decided to pursue a career in golf.  In 2004 he commenced his PGA Traineeship at Ryde Parramatta GC, moving to Bribie Island GC in Queensland in 2006 as a 3rd Year Trainee in a role with a strong emphasis on teaching and junior golf.  In early 2007 he returned to Kogarah GC as Assistant Professional conducting numerous ladies clinics before starting here at Roseville.  Paul is extremely passionate about golf and teaching and has played a key role in developing junior clinics and tournaments, ladies clinics and corporate day short game clinics from beginners to advanced players.

Golf Operations - Fiona Shaddock

Fiona is a keen golfer and currenty plays off a handicap of 17 at Pymble Golf Club.  Fiona has previously worked with Micropower, which is the club's computer software provider, in both software installion and help desk roles.
