Above Photo - The Clay deleveries have continued this week and we now nearly have enough clay to finish building the clay core. The clay stockpile is the darker material with the two excavators sitting on top of. The wet weather over last weekend has halted the clay core construction however should start again from this Friday onwards. Lets hope this dry weather continues. 10/9/08

Above Photo - The Clay core construction has started today after the recent wet weather period. The dark red clay material is being compacted by the fully loaded dump truck. This helps provide a smoother surface (the shiny area) for the clay testing team to complete their work. 13-09-08

Above Photo - The clay core is now approx level with the old 11th fairway. The contractors are making great progress with the good weather and the compaction testing results are also extremely good. 16-09-08

Above photo- The clay core is now above the level of the old 11th fairway and is also growing in legth. The clay core now starts where the excavators are located and finishes close to the old 12th tee. 18-09-08

Above Photo - The six wheel dump truck is being loaded with fill to be placed on the dam wall batter. The dam clay core can be clearly seen which is the very light coloured (almost shiny) material.20-09-08

Above photo - The raodway to the Roseville Chase Oval has deteriorated badly with the recent wet weather on Tuesday 23/8/08 which has stopped truck deliveries for the project. The road will be repaired tommorrow which should enable trucks to return from Friday onwards. 23-09-08.

Above Photo - The Access road has now been repaired and the trucks have resumed transporting material. The clay core for the dam wall has approx 5 metres (vertically) to rise to reach the final fill height. 30-09-08

Above photo - the bull dozer is stockpilling clay on the right hand side and the excavator is cutting out rock from the Eastern side of the dam and loading it into the dumptruck. The material is then moved to the other side of the dam and will form part of the dam wall. 02/10/08.

Above Photo - Sandstone was delivered today to help form the outside batter of the dam wall. The dozer is spreading the material with the compactor then compressing the material. 07-10-08

Above photo - This excavator is fitted with a GPS system which can accurately measure the position of the arm on the excavator. The arm of the excavator shows the final height of the clay core (roughly the top of the drivers cabin roof which is approx 2.2m above the current clay core height). 9/10/08
Above Photo - With the wet weather there was no deliveries of material however the machinery was still active in shapping the batters of the dam wall. 14-10-08
Above photo - The bulldozer LHS is working on the dam wall batter and the compactor RHS is working on the clay core. 17-10-08.

Above photo - The clay core of the dam stil needs to built a further 600mm at the point where the vehicle is parked. The final clay deliveries are expected at the end of this week. 20-10-08

Above photo - Construction of the ladies tee began today which is where the yellow compactor is working. 21-10-08

Above Photo - The bulldozer is ripping the last few layers of rock in the botom of the dam. The excavator is loading clay into the 6 wheel dumptruck to be placed on the dam core and the compactor is on top of the dam wall compacting the clay. 30-10-08

Above Photo - The ladies tee is now starting to take shape which is to the left of the clay core (centre of the dam wall). 1-11-08

Above Photo - Work has now begun smoothing the inside of the dam walls which can be seen from this photo. The access ramp and top soil stockpile currently within the dam will start to be removed from tomorrow onwards. 03-11-08

Above photo - Clay deleveries have resumed this week and the excavator is currently sitting on the clay stockpile and loading it into the truck to be placed on the dam core. The clay core needs to be approx 500mm higher where the man in the orange is standing on the right hand side of the picture. 7/11/08
Above Photo - The two excavators are finishing the removal of the truck access ramp whithin the dam. With this removed the dam is now looking a lot bigger internally. 11-11-08.

Above photo - The soil stockpile currently located in the dam is being moved to the outside of the dam wall as a growing medium for vegatation. The vegatation will help stablise the outside of the dam wall and prevent erosion. 12-11-08
Above photo - The last deleveries of clay have now arrived which have been placed on top of the dam core. This has enabled the rising main (the pipe transporting water from the 3rd hole) to be finished. The large middle pipe (rising main) is from the 3rd hole and will finish at the top of the dam wall. The smaller pipe on the left hand side will be extended into the bottom of the dam and will transport water to the irrigation system. The smaller pipe on the right hand side will also extend into the dam and will ransport bore water into the dam.

Above Photo - The Earthmoving equipment is finishing the last section of the dam wall this afternoon. The dam wall to the left of the machinery is the final fill height. The large pipe located in the bottom of the dam (currently in two pieces) will be suspended under a floating pontoon and will transfer water from the dam to the irrigation system. The smaller pipe is from the bore pump and will disperse the water in the bottom of the dam. The black material in the bottom left corner of the photo is a geo textile material which will be laid around the entire top of the dam and will help reduce erosion near the top water level. 22-11-08

Above Photo - Construction has begun on the Spillway which will safely allow excess water to flow over the dam wall during heavy rainfall periods. 1st stage - The Lower box with steel mesh lid will allow small volumes of water to pass. 2nd stage - The three concrete inletes and pipes will allow larger volumes of water to pass. 3rd Stage - In very heavy rainfall periods water will also flow over the cart pathway. 28-11-08

Above Photo - The plumber near the pipes inside of the dam is pressure testing the rising main to ensure there are no leaks in the pipe which will transport the water from the 3rd hole and into the dam. The concrete pathway is completed near the new 12th tee and more pathway is being formed up in this photo. The growing medium for the 12th tee is beeing shaped today which should be ready for turf shortly. 4-12-08

Above Photo - The cart pathway construction is proceeding well. The pathways at both ends of the dam have been constructed and will meet in the centre of the dam by the end of next week. 5-12-08.

Above photo - The black geo-synthetic material has been laid on the spillway inlet and in the corner of the dam the grey Rip Rap scour protection has been installed. 8/12/08

Above Photo - Work has begun shapping the new 12th green. This work is expected to be finished by the end of the week when this area will then be handed over to the golf course shaper to continue the finer detailing. The excavator is being serviced in this photo. 9-12-08.

Above Photo - Topsoil has started to be spread over the outside of the dam wall. This will soon be turfed and planted out to protect the dam wall from erosion. 15-12-08

Above Photo - The topsoil continues to be spread over the outer dam wall (the darker soil). The black material in the right hand side of the photo is the geo-sythetic material for the spillway which should be completed by the end of the week. 17-12-08

Above photo - The topsoil spreading is now complete on the outer dam wall, the outer sillway is also completed and the lower areas will be turfed with grass early next week. 20-12-08

Above photo - Turf was laid today on the lower section of the outer dam wall. 23/12/08

Above photo - Planting has begun inside the dam wall. These plants will sit just on the top water level and will help prevent the soil near the top of the dam wall from erosion. 29-12-08

Above Photo - This photo is taken from the front of the new 12th hole mens tee and is looking towards the new 12th green. The 12th green surrounds will be laid with turf next week and the new green has progressed well through the Christmas / New Year period. 2-01-08
Above photo - A pontoon was istalled in the dam which is attached to the end of the suction line to enable water to be pumped from the dam to the irrigation tanks near the 1st tee for use on the course. 09-01-08.

Above photo - The pump located on the thrid hole has been tested and is now operational. With the rainfall this morning the pump was in operation for many hours. The water can be seen cascading down the very dark "rip rap" (large stones to slow the flow of the water and prevent the inside dam wall from eroding). 27-01-09

Above photo - This photo was taken during a light drizzle and shows the amount of water flowing down Moore's creek on the 3rd hole. During a heavy downpour this entire channel, including the surrounding grass area will be overflowing with water. 27-01-09

Above Photo - The pipe in the left hand side of the photo is the overflow from our 20,000 litre underground wet well. At this point in time the pump was pumping at full speed (approx 50 litres per second) with the excess water returned to Moore's creek (the water flowing out of the pipe). 27-01-09

Above Photo - The 12th fairway is now nearly completly covered with grass and the dam has recently received some rain over the past few days. The rainfall has been very light. Wednesday 11-02-09

Above photo - After the weekends steady rainfall the new pump has now pumped 13.2 million litres of water in total. 10.03 million litres have been pumped from 9.00am Thursday 13th Feb 09 to 9.00am Monday 16th Feb 09. The dam will now fill much slower as the surface are is now getting larger. Monday 16/2/09

Above Photo - The new pump has now pumped 16.6 million litres of water. The water level needs to rise only 1.5 metres to reach the final fill height and 26 million litre capacity. 18/2/09

Above Photo - The dam is currently at 88% capacity (approx 23 megalitres). We need the water level to raise approx 80cm to reach the top water level. The top water level is the base of the left water height marker (white pole) 23-02-09

Above Photo - The orange tubing will house and protect the "Dam Full" control wire. This wire will notify the pump located on the third hole to stop pumping when the dam reaches the full water level. The pump shed for pumping water out of the dam and into the irrigation system is located in the top right corner of this photo. The location of this pump is below the bottom of the dam to ensure the pipeline is always charged with water, preventing any air locks. 26-02-08

Above photo - Taken from the new ladies 12th tee looking over the dam and back towards the club house. The Dam is currently at approimately 97% capacity. 23/3/09
